Barrett Chong is SWIFT’s Head of Services team in Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and the India sub-continent, which is responsible for delivering the full range of implementation, advisory and care services for customers in these regions.
With over 26 years of experience including previous organizations in banks and firms with financial services industry verticals, Barrett has a broad suite of experience across account management, pre-sales, product management, project management, product implementation and support, as well as product development. He has been managing and hiring across the regions, and is passionate about mentoring to create and achieve highly performing teams.
Barrett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer & Information Sciences from The National University of Singapore.
Zakir Hossain
Head of Talent Acquisition for Asia Pacific Region, SWIFT
Zakir Hossain is the Head of Talent Acquisition for Asia Pacific Region at SWIFT.
Besides strategizing SWIFT's need for talents in the region and managing the regional Talent Acquisition team, he also is a hands-on executive recruiter who hires senior leaders. In his 16 years of experience in Talent Acquisition Zakir had led Talent Acquisition teams at MNC bank and MNC IT products and services providers. He led recruitment operations and teams across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa as well as Europe.
Zakir is very enthusiastic in Talent mapping and talent market analysis; Talent development; Career coaching. He enjoys giving career talks to future job seekers (students) and as well as to professionals who like to further enhance their career.
Huy Nguyen Trieu
Co-founder, CFTE
Huy is Co-founder of the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE), one of the largest education platforms in digital finance. He is also Venture Partner of Mundi Ventures and CEO of The Disruptive Group. After graduating from MIT, he co-founded and led Ukibi, a precursor to LinkedIn, in 1999.
He then joined a number of international banks where he built high-growth businesses for more than a decade, latterly as a Managing Director at Citi. Huy has been very involved in the development of fintech in Europe and Asia, and is recognised as one of the thought leaders in that space.
He is a Founding Partner of SuperCharger, the largest Fintech accelerator in Asia, and was the first Fintech Resident Expert at Oxford Said Business School.

Shawn Rutter

Shawn Rutter is the founder of Excelsior Search, the market-leading, niche search company specialising in international executive search and recruitment solutions for financial technology (fintech), data and research providers to the global capital markets and investment industry.
Following graduation from Oxford Brookes University, Shawn was a Commissioned Officer in the British Army for seven years, and later worked for the international search firm MRI. He went on to establish Excelsior Search in 1999.
With a distinct market focus, recruiting only within capital markets and investment fintech, Shawn has over 20 years of recruitment expertise in this sector. Thanks to his specialist experience in international fintech recruitment and career management, Shawn is able to provide valuable insight and expert knowledge from both fintech employer and candidate perspectives.
Brian Lim

In his capacity, Brian is responsible for a wide spectrum of Human Resources planning and operations, ranging from performance and rewards, Employee Experience and Relations, Talent Attractionand Development to being a HR Business Partnerin workforce planningand organization culture.
Prior to joining M-DAQ in Jan 2020, Brian served as a Naval Officer in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) for 27 years. He held several roles in different domains ranging from operations, planning to training. His most recent tenure in the RSN is about People, which he assumed various HR roles including strategic planning, management of RSN NSmenand HR operationsin the Navy HQ.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Merit) Degreefrom the Singapore University of Social Sciencesand a Master of Human Capital Leadership (Dean’s List)from the Singapore Management University. He is also accredited as a Senior Professionalby Institute for Human Resource Professionals(IHRP).
Sami K. Sørensen
Managing Director, IoTAL
Sami is an avid technologist, with a strong passion for Web3, blockchain, smart contracts, augmented reality and real-time geolocalization.
With a clear mission to create real-time physical-digital places and products, he co-developed the GeoBlocks.Earth network, the first
Web3-Native Geo-Social Network.
Sami has been deeply involved in IoT and Web3 since 2017, first as a business angel, and later as a full-time entrepreneur. Prior to founding
IoTAL, Sami was a Credit Trader at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. He is a graduate of HEC Paris and Sciences Po Paris.
Vicky Crowley
Chief Operating Officer, B2C2
Born and educated in Ireland, Vicky’s career in the City of London began in 2005 when she joined interdealer broker ICAP, having previously consulted at major software companies across Ireland, the UK and Denmark.
Successfully navigating the heavily male-dominated broking industry, Vicky quickly progressed from writing code to running front office trading platforms as product manager across multiple asset classes. Having launched successful products including ICAP DerivX and ICAP Fusion, Vicky moved into business management, responsible first for fixed income and equities, and later commodities where she spearheaded both product and regulatory change. In 2015 she returned to technology as business manager to the group CIO during the TP-ICAP acquisition.
Vicky moved into the crypto sector in 2019, joining start-up Founders Bank Project. In 2020 she took up the global role of Chief Operating Officer at crypto liquidity firm B2C2, managing teams across London, New Jersey and Tokyo, where she combines her business acumen with strong software and financial services expertise. She was appointed to the B2C2 board in 2021.
Outside of work Vicky invests her time in her two children, and combining her interests in crafting and DIY.
