Recruiting quality fintech
candidates: a guide to
getting it right
Fintech is no longer a niche segment of the job market. Vacancies in fintech now total around 40,000, and about 300,000 people work for fintech firms globally – a higher headcount than all global financial hubs except London and New York, according to CFTE data.
But while upwards of 50 people may apply for a single fintech role, finding “quality candidates” can be difficult, says Huy Nguyen Trieu, co-founder, CFTE. Fierce competition for talent and tight budgets are among other key challenges in fintech recruitment, according to an eFinancialCareers poll.
Amid a challenging job market, this report sets out solutions for hiring people into fintech firms – from starting the talent search and conducting interviews, through to the skills and mindsets that fintechs need to succeed.
As well as CFTE’s Nguyen Trieu, two other fintech leaders – Sophie Guibaud, co-founder, Fiat Republic; and Saim Yeong Harng, CEO, CardsPal – have provided best-practice insights to help you recruit the right fintech talent.
