APAC Salary & Bonus Survey 

The results are in for the inaugural eFinancialCareers Asia Pac salary and bonus survey. Responses from almost 600 people working in finance in Hong Kong and Singapore provide insights into compensation and working hours across all levels of seniority and experience. The survey respondents work across the spectrum in financial services, including in investment banking, both in front office and operational roles, as well as on the buyside, at traditional ‘long-only’ asset management companies hedge funds and at private equity firms.

The survey was conducted during a pivotal time for the Asia-Pacific region and for global markets in general. COVID 19 restrictions have prompted some expats to relocate from Hong Kong, either on a temporary or permanent basis, and in some cases, that brain-drain has benefitted Singapore. But when it comes to pay, Hong Kong continues to show its resilience.
