Starting from September 2023, new applications for an Employment Pass (EP) from Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MoM) will be assessed under a new framework called COMPASS (short for “Complementarity Assessment”). The new framework updates the Singaporean work visa system, with the aim of continuing to allow companies to attract and employ top global talent, while increasing the incentives to build a local core and improve diversity.
